What we do with the details you send us, who sees them, and how long we keep them.
Who we are
This website is operated by Progressive Website Development Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 07714132. We are the data controller for the information you send us through this site.
Registered office: 58 Greenbank Drive, Chesterfield, England, S40 4BX. This is a registered office for company filing purposes only. It is not a trading address, not a workshop, and there is nothing to visit there. Please do not call in.
If we are required to be registered with the Information Commissioner's Office for this processing, our registration number will be published here once it exists. It is not published yet because it does not yet exist, and we would rather say that than print a number we cannot support.
What information we collect
Only what you type into the enquiry form, and what your browser sends when you visit.
- Your name, your company, and how to reach you: email address and telephone number
- What you tell us about the equipment and the problem, which is usually the type of unit, what has failed, where it is, and how urgent it is
- Anything else you choose to put in the message
- If you accept analytics cookies, information about which pages you looked at. That is not linked to your enquiry and does not identify you by name
Business contact details are still personal data
Most of what we receive is business contact information: a named engineer or buyer at a company. That is still personal data under UK GDPR, because it identifies a person, and it is treated the same way as any other personal data on this site.
Information about the equipment itself, the plant and the fault is not personal data, and we may use it in an anonymous form to understand what kinds of enquiry the site receives. Nothing that identifies you or your employer is used that way.
Why we can use it
Because you asked us to. Sending an enquiry is a request for a response, and responding to it is our legitimate interest and yours. We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
If you accept analytics cookies, that processing rests on your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time by clearing this site's stored data in your browser.
Who carries out the work
We are not an engineering contractor. Heat exchanger repair is carried out by a qualified service company we work with, and your enquiry is shared with that company so they can assess, quote and do the work.
Your details go to one service company for that purpose. They are not sold, not passed to lead brokers or data aggregators, and not added to a marketing list by us.
That company is a data controller in its own right for the work it does for you, and its own privacy terms apply to any contract you enter into with it. You can ask us who it is at any time, and you can ask us not to share your details at all, in which case we will tell you rather than passing them on.
Who else sees it
The form is delivered by Formspree, a form-handling service that processes the submission on our behalf under contract. Their privacy policy is published at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
If we use website analytics, it is configured so that it does not identify you personally and does not track you across other websites.
We do not sell your data, and we do not pass it to lead brokers, marketing lists or data aggregators.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted after twelve months. That is our own retention policy rather than a period set by law, and we set it because an enquiry older than a year is of no use to anyone.
Where work goes ahead, we keep the enquiry for six years. That reflects the limitation period for a simple contract under Section 5 of the Limitation Act 1980, which is the period in which a contractual claim could arise.
You can ask us to delete your details sooner, and we will unless we are required to keep them.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, and ask for a copy in a portable format. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Contact us and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling their helpline.
Changes to this notice
This notice was last updated on 1 September 2026. If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change that date.
